Anti-poverty collection slated
- The national Catholic Campaign for Human Development Collection is Nov. 22-23, the weekend before Thanksgiving. The collection is taken up in parishes and dioceses nationwide. The theme of this year's collection is: "Defend Human Dignity. Take Poverty Off the Map." Auxiliary Bishop Peter Smith, of the Archdiocese of Portland Office of the Vicar General, has asked all parishes to participate. Of the nine second collections, this is the collection that focuses on justice, not charity. Projects supported
