The Odebrecht Octopus: One of Latin America's greatest scandals
- A local corruption case involving a multinational construction firm from Brazil, has turned into one of the largest scandals that Latin America has ever witnessed. Recent developments shed light on the magnitude of the affair, reaching presidents, public companies, private corporations and politicians.

Toledo was Peru’s President from 2001 to 2006. He initiated a new era of hopes following a decade of government led by hard-liner Alberto Fujimori.
